South Bend's "Everybody Has A Story" Music and Variety Show

A concert of eclectic music and variety acts is announced by a new group Everybody Has A Story (EHAS).

The concert is scheduled for 20 September 2014 and will be held at the Century Center in downtown South Bend. C.R. Heckaman, singer-guitarist and South Bend Native, reached out to his circle of friends to join forces and follow his vision to create an original concert event in support of the community. The result is Everybody Has A Story, a concert celebration to inspire pride and unity in all who attend. Our ambition is a musical-variety show that will entertain, inform and delight, while benefitting a local charity. The 2014 beneficiary is the 360 Project, a non-profit ground that works with at-risk youth to help prepare shelter dogs for adoption.

"We want each audience member to leave feeling that even in a small way they were part of something bigger, states Curt Heckman, EHAS Director. "The EHAS organization envisions a wide range of homegrown talent sharing their stories – musicians, choirs, poets, dancers -- performers with a passion for the arts and an affinity for Michiana. The concert will celebrate past successes and future dreams to remind us that each one of us is important. Every one of us has a story worth telling."

The other half of our vision is to offer financial support to a non-profit group that serves the community. The 2014 concert will benefit the 360° Project of Indiana, an organization that pairs less-than-adoptable shelter dogs with at-risk young people identified by the county Juvenile Justice and the Crossing Educational Center. The young people and the shelter animals get a fresh chance for a new start in life. As they train their partnered dogs to be ready for forever homes, the young people learn empathy, patience and practical skills for themselves. The EHAS goal is to establish the EHAS concert as an annual South Bend charitable event to benefit a worthy charity to be selected each year.

An event completely staffed by volunteers, Everybody Has A Story, is actively seeking assistance in the form of a "Street Team" of brand ambassadors, plus partners from the Michiana business community, sponsors, and entertainers with an affiliation for South Bend. The event theme is The River, a symbol of renewal and energy, common to all from South Bend
