Hot Springs International Festival Announces Offical Schedule

The forurth annual Hot springs International Film Festival will be held September 22-25 at the historic Central Theater located at 1008 Central Ave in Hot Springs National Park, Arkansass, will once again host the festival .

Noted for being one of the best festivals in the region, HSHFF is a great place for aspiring, student, new and independent filmmakers to rub shoulders with horror icons and Hollywood filmmakers,

Festival directors Bill Volland and Tamara Glynn will be in attendance during their host and directing duties during this four day event. Volland has an eye for the exquisite. He has worked as an art director, set decorator and producer for over 25 years, most noticeably on the hit television series "Silk Stalkings." Glynn is an actress most known for playing Samantha Thomas in 1989's #1 movie Halloween 5: The Curse of Michael Myers. Her  involvement with the festival, brings in fans and filmmakers from all over the globe. Tamara's most recent appearance was a lead role in Patrick Rea's award winning short Howl of a Good Time which garnered her  a Best Actress award at the Cornwall Film Festival in 2015.

Volland and Glynn have also announced that this years festival will include at least two special guests:

Marlon Schulman, Founder and CEO of the Horror Equity Fund wii be discussing new rules which give filmmakers new ways to do crowd funding, tax incentives, and how to get distribution on Saturday September 24, at 2:30pm,

At 7pm, on Saturday September  24th,  noted film copmposer, sound designer and special audio effects wizzard Alan Howarth gives a special live performance.Howarth has collaborated with John Carpenter on the music from nearly all of his movies starting with ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK; he's provided sound design and effects for POLTERGEIST, RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK, all the STAR TREK movies, THE HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER, Coppola's DRACULA, TOTAL RECALL, and STARGATE, among others.
