Actors Hall of Fame Brings Shakespeare Classics Back to the Big Screen after 20 years!

All new productions of A MidSummer Night's DreamThe Taming of the Shrew and Romeo and Juliet were announced today by Rusty Citron, President of The Actors Hall of Fame.

"We are extremely proud to announce these first three global productions in almost 20 years. William Shakespeare remains the most popular and recognized author in the world," said Citron. He added, "These productions will remain true to the original story and characters, while using all the production and storytelling tools that we have available today."

A MidSummer Night's Dream will be produced as a state of the art family 3D animated film, with the addition of new songs and dances from established and emerging artists. The film will be released globally in midsummer 2018.​

The Taming of the Shrew will be produced as a 10-hour miniseries for broadcast/streaming, and will also introduce the next generation of characters in the lives of Petruchio and Katherina.

Romeo and Juliet, the classic story of young love, will make history by airing 'LIVE' on mobile and social media around the world, starring today's most popular young stars from film, television and music.
