PARMA Licensing and the Atlanta Film Festival launch music contest for 2014 Festival participants

New England-based music house PARMA Licensing LLC and the internationally-acclaimed Atlanta Film Festival are teaming to launch a new music contest for 2014 Festival participants.

PARMA will provide $25,000 of in-kind music and services to chosen festival participants, courtesy of PARMA's music supervision team. All short films which are accepted into the Festival will be reviewed by PARMA's panel of judges and the Festival Committee, and 3 winners will be chosen based on quality of direction, script, and creativity.

"We believe strongly in supporting up-and-coming artists," says PARMA Licensing's Managing Director, Jake Weinreb. "There are so many talented individuals out there on the verge of breaking through, and we're always looking for new opportunities to help bridge the gap."

"We're constantly working on ways to help our filmmakers and give them opportunities to use the visibility and credibility that being an official selection of the Atlanta Film Festival gets them for their next project and their careers," says Christopher Escobar, Atlanta Film Festival Executive Director. "This partnership with PARMA gives us a great way to support those filmmakers in one of the areas of creating a film that many of them aren't usually able to do easily. PARMA's generosity in extending not only their catalog but also their expertise in music for film is a huge win for our filmmakers."

Winners will be announced during Festival events in March 2014 and will receive the following:
Prize Packages:
•1st Place: Music and services provided by PARMA, for the winner's next feature-length film
•2nd & 3rd Place: Music and services provided by PARMA, for the winner's next short film, up to 10 minutes in length

Music and Services for all winners include:
•Music supervision and clearance (as applicable)
•Blanket access to the PARMA Licensing Catalog (100,000+ minutes of multi-genre music)
•Music spotting, temping, and editing
•Administration of cue sheets, music submission forms, and sync/master licenses
