Award Winning Skip Thomas Adds Powell, Gooding and Estevez to 3rd Feature Film

“Banger”, a feature film written and directed by award-winning filmmaker Mike Berry of Skip Thomas Productions begins filming on May 23, 2015.  Berry brings to the screen this suspense thriller that is sure to make audiences hold on to the edge of their seats.

When a turf war between two street gangs leads to the death of a Haitian immigrant, his mother conjures up a spell to bring her son back from the grave to exact revenge on those responsible. The code of the street is simple; stay true to the gang, stay focused on the streets, but most importantly, stay ALIVE.

In true Skip Thomas form expect twists and turns along with a jaw dropping conclusion.  “We have also assembled a phenomenal cast,” says COO and Producer Tina Hobbs,  “made up of seasoned actors from the area and have recently added the talented Clifton Powell (Ray, Menace to Society, Dream Girls), Omar Gooding (Baby Boy, Barbershop, Smart Guy) and Ohio Native Joe Estevez best known for his impressive trail of movie credits as well as his famous acting family (Martin Sheen, Charlie Sheen and Emilio Estevez) to the roster."

Both Berry and Hobbs are products of Cleveland’s inner city with a passion for giving back to the community.  The production has partnered with Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) and The Gaulding Law Firm to provide a charitable donation to youths interested in the entertainment industry.

Skip Thomas Productions is also the producers of “Secrets”, “If You Knew Better, You’d Do Better” and the award winning television pilot “3rd Floor West”.  “Banger” is expected to release early 2016.  Future announcements and updates may be found at www.Bangerthemovie.com.
