“DEMON ON WHEELS” Makes its World Premiere During Carlisle Ford Nationals Weekend in June

As the 2015 Carlisle Ford Nationals flexes its muscle with 3,000+ Ford vehicles onsite, guests are encouraged to make their way downtown Saturday (June 6) at 7:30 pm to watch the world premiere of a documentary feature film about one man’s journey to restore the prized 1968 Ford Mustang of his wild youth!  The film screening takes place downtown at the Carlisle Theatre as part of the 2015 Carlisle Ford Nationals, June 5-7 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

In DEMON ON WHEELS, Mike Ondish, a middle-aged auto mechanic from the Catskills region of New York, sets out to restore his first car, a 1968 Ford Mustang fastback hidden unused in a garage for more than 30 years.  This is the car that he used to turn his town upside down in his outlaw younger days, and is now a car he’s looking to restore as a tribute to his hero, the legendary Carroll Shelby.  Along the way, he gets to meet Shelby and see his dream come true with a car that any die-hard enthusiast would be proud of.

But, going from barn storage to track ready wasn’t an easy task and that’s exactly what the film highlights.  Revel in the trials and tribulations that come with putting a classic car back together more than 40 years after it came off the production line with a combination of modern and original pieces and parts, enjoy the excitement of the reveal when Ondish sees for the first time the true completed project, and go on the journey that got him there.

It’ll all play out on the big screen of the Carlisle Theatre in downtown Carlisle Saturday night alongside the downtown Ford Parade and Street Party.  In addition to seeing Ondish and Mustang in the film, Mustang icon Carroll Shelby and Ford Motor Company’s John Clor make appearances.  With positive support from Ford Performance, the evening out is a must for anyone in town to enjoy the Carlisle Ford Nationals.

“We’re thrilled to be making our world premiere at the best Ford show in the country,” says DEMON ON WHEELS director Christina Eliopoulos. “Carlisle is the site of the largest gathering of Ford enthusiasts and Ford vehicles we’ve ever seen, and we can’t think of a better place to share Mike Ondish’s quest to rebuild his classic Mustang than among the thousands of Ford and Mustang owners in Carlisle for the big show!”

DEMON ON WHEELS is a production of Watershed Films, and is being released in theaters in the United States starting in August 2015. The world premiere June 6 in Carlisle is presented by Watershed Films, Carlisle Events and the Carlisle Theatre.
