High speed horror thriller RACE WITH THE DEVIL, an offbeat, tongue-in-cheek adaptation of The Devil & Daniel Webster tale, will begin filming in Nashville, Tenn.
Scratch (the Devil) has been terrorizing a rural working class town that's been hit hard by the recession. A naive, farmer Jabez Stone, plagued by unending bad luck, has made a deal with Scratch to save his family's farm. On the eve Scratch comes to collect Jabez's soul, his nephew Danny Webster steps in.
Fueled with hot rods, hotties, pinups, weirdos and freaks, the movie will top it off with a drag racing scene between Danny and the Devil at the dragstrip. Film will feature music from Nuclear Blast Records (NuclearBlastUSA.com) and other artists.
Produced by High Speed Low Drag -- an all volunteer cast and crew -- filming is set to begin June 25th and 26th at Mickey's Tavern in East Nashville and June 28 at the Nashville Raceway.
