NASCAR Racing Pastor Returns to Evergreen Speedway After Totaling Car In 2013 Season

Pastor Jeff Knight, nicknamed “Knightrous,” began first as an owner in 2001 and moved in behind the wheel of his own NASCAR in 2007. One of only a handful of men in the nation who share the word of God from the pulpit and is also a successful NASCAR car driver, Knight is ready to launch into the NASCAR racing season again at the Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Washington on April 5th.

“I enjoy the competition that NASCAR racing provides and I’m excited to be back in the driver’s seat again this year. The fact that you can do everything right and someone can just be better than you on the track and being able to go back after doing your homework, adjusting, work hard and getting a chance to try it again, finding your way to the top, is priceless. Every race is a new challenge. But my most favorite part of racing are the friends I’ve made along the way,” said Knight as he makes final preparation for the first of many races over the next six months.

Knight will be unveiling a brand new paint scheme and sporting a new number, 07, on April 5th. People are invited to join him and many of his loyal followers from The Rock Church where he pastors every Sunday. Follow Jeff Knight’s racing action or send him some “shouts” via Twitter @knightrous. To find him on the Evergreen Speedway in his Super Late Model NASCAR #07, come out to the races on April 5th for the Coca-Cola NASCAR Super Late Model 125 Lap Season Opener (gates open at 4:00pm) or check out the race schedule at EvergreenSpeedway.com for future events.

“I have an incredible list of sponsors that I would personally like to thank,” says Knight, “for, without their support, my racing would not be possible. They are: Popeye Energy Drinks, National Guard, Beth Neibert & Associates, Selling Snohomish, SIR Construction, JZ Motorsports and DeYoung Design & Graphics.”

Because of their sponsorship and his determination, Knight is able to reach a community of people who wouldn’t normally make time to step into a church. Many stories of life change and salvation have emerged from the dirt of the pits and track. Donations and sponsorships are always welcome and may be made through Knightrous Motorsports, LLC (originally known as Total Velocity Motorsports, LLC) by clicking here: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&h...

Jeff Knight (Jesus follower, husband, father, friend, pastor and race car driver) has been the Lead Pastor of The Rock Church (a 1,400 active member church) for over 14 years. He can be heard every Sunday at 9:30 and 11:30am at The Rock Church located at 16891 - 146th St. SE, Monroe, WA http://www.therockchurch.info/ . He also ministers through his personal blog, http://jeffknight.com/, where he provides “necessary fuel for life” on a wide range of topics.
